About Us
JRP Cattle is 12 years old
In 2012, Our family, led by Reese Philips, got into the cattle business. Reese and his brother Regan, both showed brangus as they graduated high school. Today, we continue to support show students in the FFA and 4h and believe both programs are outstanding. Today, Reese, who graduated from Tarleton with an Ag-Economics degree is joined by his older brother Riley. Riley brings experience from working on cattle ranches in N.M., CO, WY, and AZ, as he manages the herd day to day. Regan, the youngest brother, graduated from Texas Tech with an Ag-Business degree.
Donors
Our Donors make our world go round. . These Dams always impress with their production and maternal instincts. We have size and grace with the 535 family, we have sound structure with our 820 family, and we have champion style with the 804 family from DDD. We focus on the top sires available for our AI program as we match genetics with performance and style. We also started our first embryo program this year with the addtion of 12 Brangus influenced recips.
Bulls
The Brangus breed has a great selection of bulls and we have used a few with great results. Our sires include DDD Hercules, Atlanta of Salcoa, CCC/DDD Unlimited, Stonewall of RRR, and LTD Brinks. This picture is our current Herd Sire - JRP MacDaddy 820H who is a proven show calf maker at the young age of 2 1/2 years old. Will be posting more about his first full set of calves.
